National Party list MP Maureen Pugh has been reselected by National to contest the West Coast-Tasman electorate at the 2017 general election.
Mrs Pugh contested the seat at the 2014 election, losing to Labour's Damien O'Connor, and then at the start of 2016 she entered Parliament on the party list.
Born and bred in Greymouth, Mrs Pugh lives at Turiwhate, near Kumara.
"I'm delighted to be running for National again," she said in a statement today.
"The West Coast-Tasman electorate is the second largest in the country, and includes some of our most remote communities, so it's crucial we have a strong, local voice in Government.
