A man accused of threatening to kill the Prime Minister has been bailed.
Karl Fenn allegedly wrote to Helen Clark demanding $100,000 and making threats on her life.
Fenn fidgeted in the dock at the Auckland District Court, and turned away from public and media starting intently at the judge for the duration of his hearing. He entered a not guilty plea.
Judge Kiernan suppressed all details of arguments for and against bail. She also suppressed conditions of his bail and said she was satisfied they minimised his risk of re-offending.
