Police have released a description of a man they say robbed the Ngaruawahia BP service station at knifepoint on Monday morning.
At 12.15am, a man entered the premises on Great South Rd armed with a knife and threatened the female attendants.
He got away with cigarettes and cash, and was last seen on foot heading towards the Ellery St train tracks in Ngaruawahia.
The offender is described as Maori, aged 17-25, of skinny thin build, approximately 160-170cm tall, with tattooed hands. He was wearing a dark grey long-sleeved hooded jersey, black cap, a black short-sleeved fleece over the hooded jersey, black track pants, and black jandals. He was carrying a black bag.
