ROTORUA - Young people treat the supply of drugs as older people might regard alcohol, the counsel for a woman being sentenced on drugs charges told the High Court at Rotorua yesterday.
Paul Mabey was appearing for 22-year-old Christchurch store manager Jackie Musgrove, who had been found guilty of supplying methamphetamine (speed) and LSD, possession of methamphethamine and conspiring to supply LSD.
Musgrove was given a suspended sentence of two years, and four months' periodic detention.
Mr Mabey said some young people took drugs to a party and shared them like some people might do with a six-pack of beer.
