On our rights - and on society
We are all born into this world without any inherent rights. Try living alone on a desert island if you don't believe this.
Those individual rights we do have
are provided and protected by society as a whole through the operation of legislative process.
The country is suffering a public health emergency.
It's hardly an appropriate situation for grandstanding on one's rights.
If society judges you are misusing your rights, then it may review them and that would be society's right.

Constant exposure
Admiration of so-called intellect should not by itself warrant automatic acceptance, just as constant media exposure should not be confused with fact.

Captive audience
Mike Hosking's popularity is not due to intelligence but his cunning exploitation of a captive frustrated audience.

Remove benefits
It is good that the government has finally gotten around to issuing vaccine certificates so that we can open up the retail environment and start living again.
But when is the same government going to develop a backbone and start to remove social benefits such as welfare cheques to those who refuse to get vaccinated?
In an ideal society the greater good must take precedence over personal preferences and we should suppress those idiots who live here and take full advantage of our personal freedoms.
