Police have been given three names in the investigation into bottle-throwing at the end of Saturday's Bledisloe Cup test at WestpacTrust Stadium in Wellington.
Fans disgusted at the pelting of South African referee Jonathan Kaplan phoned the stadium trust with information and seat numbers.
All Black lock Norm Maxwell and team doctor John Mayhew helped to shield Kaplan from the shower of plastic beer bottles after the referee awarded an injury-time penalty that Wallaby skipper John Eales kicked to seal the game 24-23 and retain the cup.
Stadium spokesman Iain Morrison said: "If there's a seat number given to us and it belongs to a season ticket-holder then we know exactly who it is."
He said it was likely that more bottle-throwers would be named as other crowd members complained.
"We're still appealing for people to come forward with more information. Stadium-goers don't actually like poor, boorish behaviour."
He said management would wait and see what recommendations were made by police before deciding if offenders would be banned for life from the stadium.
Mr Morrison said there had been just one arrest for drunkenness.
Several people were banned for bad behaviour at Hurricanes' Super 12 games earlier this season.
