The Serious Fraud Office (SFO) inquiry into an expenses claim by Act MP Donna Awatere Huata will continue today at Parliament.
The general manager of the Parliamentary Service, John O'Sullivan, is due to be interviewed by the SFO in Wellington.
He said he had already had preliminary discussions with the SFO. That would be followed up with an interview today.
Mr O'Sullivan would not elaborate, other than to confirm it was the Auditor-General's office that advised him the case should be referred to the Serious Fraud Office.
The MP was interviewed two weeks ago and says it is a trivial dispute relating to an accommodation claim 35 days before the 1999 election.
Mrs Awatere Huata says Parliamentary Service accepted she was entitled to make the claim. But at issue was whether she should have claimed on a daily rate or whether the claim should have been aggregated in weeks.
Act leader Richard Prebble said it was about his MP not having got a good enough deal.
