There were mixed results for the two Wairarapa teams in the latest round of matches in the Wellington college regional netball league.
Playing in division two, Makoura suffered their first defeat in three matches when they were beaten 31-22 by Chilton St James while St Matthew's Collegiate broke their "duck" with a 39-33 success over Tawa.
Competition points are: Division one: Wellington East 12, St Oran's and Sacred Heart 8, St Mary's and Wellington Girls 6, Upper Hutt 4, Paraparaumu 3 and Aotea 0. Division two: Kapiti and Chilton St James 10, Heretaunga and Makoura 8, St Matthew's, Tawa and Samuel Marden all 4, Onslow 0. Division three: Hutt Valley High School 12, Taita 9, Queen's Margaret and Mana 8, Naenae 5, St Catherine's and Wainuiomata 4 and Wellington High 0.
This coming Monday, St Matthew's plays Chilton St James while the match between Makoura and Onslow has been deferred to August 20.
