Two brothers accused of murder have walked free after a jury found them not guilty.
Phuong Hung Le and Manh Thanh Le were on trial at the High Court at Auckland, accused of murdering Thuong Si Nguyen with knives and a machete.
They faced an additional charge of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm to Mr Nguyen's friend.
Defence lawyer Mark Edgar told APNZ that the pair were found not guilty after the jurors deliberated for three days following a seven week trial.
He had earlier told the court that his client acted in self-defence.
