Erin Baker's days on the Canterbury District Health Board appear to be numbered.
Chairman Syd Bradley apologised for Ms Baker's uncharacteristic absence from the last week's regular board meeting, and then signalled that her future on the board was uncertain.
The feisty former triathlete said she decide in the next month whether she could committ herself to the demands of the postion. "If I can't attend our pretty-much routine board meetings then I'll obviously have to stand down".
Ms Baker caused a furore in her position as a Christchurch City councillor when she wrote a magazine article implying fellow councillors were overweight, lazy and money-hungry.
