Levin alpine skier Cameron Jarvis has added to his haul of medals, bringing back a gold and bronze from this year's Special Olympics World Winter Games, held in Austria.
The Special Olympics Horowhenua athlete had already been to two National Winter Games before his Austrian trip, and brought home three gold medals from last year's event in Cardrona.
At the 2017 World Winter Games, Jarvis competed in the Alpine Skiing Super G event, where he won a gold medal, and the Giant Slalom, where he took bronze.
He said he loved the experience, particularly being part of the New Zealand team and competing in a place where the skiing was "awesome".
With so many high-level events already under his belt, Jarvis said he was more excited than nervous about competing in the international games.
