An amazing day was had by all when the crew from Placemakers Kerikeri turned up in force at the Kaikohe Clay Target Club on Sunday.
In his report from the event, KCTC spokesperson Bruce Sanderson noted the event went ahead in wonderful weather with not a drop of rain, which made the targets a little easier to see for the boys as they tried their best to hit the clays leaving the trap-house. And, he added, "Let me tell you - they were pretty good shots, that's for sure!"
The concept belonged to Robert Anderson, who decided to round up the boys from his workplace as part of a team building experience.
"What a great idea to try something different," said Anderson, giving special thanks to his manager Neil Pyne who, unfortunately, was not able to attend the day, while thanks also went to Ruby and the others who organised the food for the beautiful lunch.
The KCTC advised it was open to expressions of interest from businesses wishing to use its facilities for a team building experience, as well as anyone simply keen to try their hand at clay-target shooting: contact Bruce Sanderson (021)406-955 and/ or Robert Jordan (021) 321-354.
