Two-time Commonwealth Games New Zealand representative and surf lifesaving champion Brent Foster out-swam his younger rivals to take out the Bay of Islands Classic.
The 49-year-old was in fine form, finishing the race in 41:04 minutes.
Jackson Dawson and Sammy Winward were not too far behind Foster, finishing second and third respectively.
Stefannie Gillespie took out her second win of the series, taking the female title with a time of 44:04.
