Springbank School is holding its annual fireworks show this Saturday, after postponing the event earlier this month due to forecast bad weather.
The school gates open at 5pm for an evening of kai, live music, rides and raffles, with one of the Far North's biggest fireworks shows starting at 9pm.
To make the show more accessible to people in the Mid North, the school is putting on free buses from Kawakawa, Paihia, Kerikeri and Kaikohe for the first time.
The 45-seater buses will operate on a "first in, first served" basis and depart at 5pm from outside Subway in Kerikeri, the depot on Mangakahia Rd (opposite Bunnings) in Kaikohe, the Maritime Building in Paihia and the carpark behind the Hundertwasser toilets in Kawakawa.
Two buses will leave from Kerikeri and Kaikohe and one from Paihia and Kawakawa.
