A woman has been disqualified from driving indefinitely after being caught drink driving in Kerikeri less than a month after having her licence suspended for driving over the legal alcohol limit.
Georgia Kate LUXTON, 21, appeared in Kaikohe District Court for sentence on two counts of driving with excess blood alcohol and one of driving while suspended.
The police summary of facts presented to the court said Luxton was driving on Wakefield St, Wellington, at 4.10am on May 18, 2012, when she was stopped by police.
She told police she had consumed five glasses of wine before driving and a test showed she had a level of 197 milligrams of alcohol per 100 millilitres of blood.
The legal limit for motorists aged 20 and over is 80mg and due to her high level Luxton had her driving licence suspended for 28 days.
