Constable Elton Braithwaite, stationed in Kaitaia, receiving confirmation of his permanent appointment to the thin blue line from Commissioner Mike Bush, with Area Commander Inspector Wendy Robilliard. Constable Braithwaite (22), son of Murray and Emily (Budgie), grew up at Takahue, attending Pamapuria Primary School, Kaitaia Intermediateand College. The presentation was made at the annual Far North police dinner at Houhora, where Mr Bush, once a member of the Kaitaia CIB, was the guest speaker.
