Pamapuria for the first time entered two teams in the senior section of Mangonui Netball this year.

The girls started with an off-season summer camp for five days at Maitai Bay at the beginning of 2016 to build relationships and work on pre-season fitness and skills.

Pamapuria Legends took out the Collegiate grade for 2016, unbeaten throughout the season and winning all three rounds.

This equalled their record of 2015 when the team (known then as Pamapuria Panthers) were also unbeaten throughout the season, taking out the Y7/8 grade.

These players are made up of six Y9s and three Y8s and they played against girls who ranged from Y9-Y12.

Pamapuria Souljahs also won the A2 section for 2016 by coming runners-up in the President's round and winning both the mid and championship rounds.

The team, mainly made up of Y10 players and one Y12, played against some great opposition but came up triumphant.

The teams are dedicated young women who were willing to learn and not afraid to try new things.
