Remarkable achievements as individuals and in teams over the summer season were celebrated at the Kaitaia Church Road Bowling Club's annual prizegiving on Sunday, June 14.
The collective results and success at domestic, interclub and centre level spoke for themselves noted KCRBC spokesperson Dorothy Hardy, and said the definition of the term 'enthusiasm' accurately summed up what the club was all about.
"I really can't say any more about the members of the bowling club. They show great talent and courage. For all those members who, work, go to school, look after family or have physical disabilities, it comes down to enthusiasm, for without it, a bowling club could be mediocre. And, as you can see from the list below we are not," said Hardy, adding the club will not be slowing down and on behalf of the Church Rd fraternity, and wishing all the other bowling clubs in the Far North a great winter season.
The list of prizewinners at domestic and interclub level were as follows, with * indicating those who went on to take out Bowls Far North Centre champ of champions titles in their respective divisions.
