Three Kaitaia squash club players were among a 10-strong contingent representing Northland at the NZ Champions of Champions event in Tawa, Wellington from October 31 to November 2.
This event saw district champions battling it out for the honour of being named best player in their respective grade in the country.
Daniel made it to the final of the E-grade division but was beaten in 4 by Ben Wilkinson of Wellington but still able to claim the title of the 2nd best E-grader in New Zealand; Nirelle finished 3rd in the C-grade, bettering her seeding of 7th and claim the title of 3rd best C grader in the nation; while daughter Tayla finished 7th, improving her seeding and claiming the title as 7th best E-grade player in New Zealand.
