Far North Community Hospice sends its regards to Northland.

Greetings to all Far North people and communities.

Life is short and for our patient's life is even shorter.

I am writing of behalf of Far North Community Hospice to say thank you for supporting us on Shorts for Hospice on the shortest day of the year, June 21.

Thank you for wearing shorts on what turned out to be a cold, blustery day in Kaitaia.

Thank you for donation, even if you did not wear shorts.

Thank you for your generosity of time, laughter and money.

Thank you for your hugs and encouragement.

Thank you for loving our clown Izzi and making us laugh and joking with us.

Thank you for supporting us with donation of goods for our 'short' raffle.

Thank you for buying our raffle tickets.

Thank you for just being the caring and generous community that you are.

In 2016, Far North Community Hospice cared for 101 palliative care patients plus their families. We provide 24/7 care, covering physical, emotional and practical help and support. By supporting us, Far North Community Hospice, you are helping us to look after members of our own community at a time in their lives when they need it.

Thank you for helping us do this.
