I feel that I should respond to the person who called me racist via Facebook (September 27).
I would like to point out I was not trying to be racist in my previous letter to the editor. I was merely asking two prominent Maori in Kaitaia to refrainfrom splashing their separatist views all through the paper. I have always sat on the fence as far as Maori affairs go, but these two men and their opinions got me fired up. I thought it was about time someone fought for the opposing team.
They are so busy telling everyone how bad Maori have got it that they haven't even responded to my letter.
I cannot understand where you got the idea that I may be Peter Jackson in disguise. I am female for a start. Does that make you a sexist?
