Praise for police
During the last week especially, the media and callers on talkback radio are criticising the police force of inadequate action to complaints received from the public. My recent experience due to a grievance prompts me to marvel at our own police officers here in Kaitaia. Courteous, compassionate, amiable and helpful are merely a small number of qualities I credit them with.
I give praise for their speedy response to my written statement with an introductory telephone call, then another informing me of the successful resolution. I was treated with respect as to my plight, and this was carried to fruition by their outstanding action.
From the officer at the front desk to the officer who finally dealt with my problem, I gratefully thank you.
For the seemingly thankless task in keeping us safe in this town, I thank you. To each and every one who serves us here in the Far North, I thank you.
