Real heroes

We are writing to express our heartfelt thanks to the linesmen from Top Energy, and to all the allied services who worked tirelessly to restore electrical power and other services to the many affected people around the Real Far North during the storm.

These people are real heroes in our midst, working in atrocious conditions at all hours of the day and night, sometimes faced with having to rebuild whole sections of the line and sliding around on greasy hillsides in the dark.

Whenever we stopped to thank them for their efforts they were very gracious and humble, even apologising that they couldn't go any faster!

It's times like this one really gets to understand and appreciate more fully the unseen demands that linesmen have to respond to in a crisis.
