Anyone got any ideas?

Further to my letter 'Good Sorts' of a week or so ago, I still am concerned at the lack of consideration some people have for their fellow men and children.

Unfortunately our 'Good Sort' mentioned above has returned to Australia, which means we have to step up to the mark and keep our beaches and recreational areas clear of dangerous materials.

This morning, Saturday 25, along with a few others, I found it necessary to clear the playground grass area and carpark which was scattered with the bits of broken bottles.

Some pieces were quite large, and in fact I stepped on one piece and the cut required four stitches.

My concern is, if such damage happened to my foot, then what sort of mess could be made to a child?

While the glass on the carpark area was easy enough to see, that in the grass was not, and as it was in close proximity to the swings, I can only imagine the damage which could be done to a young child.

Some of the pieces were the bottoms of bottles with sharp edges pointing upwards, others the necks of the bottles broken in half lengthwise.

Has anyone got any good ideas as to how we can discourage this sort of irresponsible behaviour? The rubbish bins are mere five or six metres away.
