Much appreciated

This is a letter of thanks and acknowledgement to people who helped me on the day of my accident.

On November 24, 2013, Sunday, I was thrown from my dinghy on the Whangape River bar, I was swept out to sea while floating on my fish bin.

The tide turned and I was returned in towards the entrance, where I was picked up by three men in their boat. I think their name was Cleary, brothers and a father-in-law, thank you again guys.

The next people were the Coastguard team from Omapere, Hokianga, led I believe by the policeman from Rawene, Mr Cramp, and his team who reassured me and made me aware everything was sorted for my partner, our boat and my gear.

Thank you very very much.

To the team of women in the ambulance who looked after me and made sure everything was okay and back to normal, thanks very much ladies.

The police crew who arrived out at Pawarenga. They met with Paulina and let her know what was happening with me, thank you very much.

Last but not least to my whanaunga, Anthony Rolleston, for his quick response in raising the alarm to the police and the Coastguard, retrieving my dinghy for me, and helping Paulina get back to my home safely. Thank you very, very much Ants.

To everyone concerned in this incident, thanks once more to you all for a job well done.
