Deal's changed

What happened to the initial agreement between the government and Sky City whereby in return for allowing? 500 extra pokies the government would encourage Sky City to build a convention centre? There now seems to be a contractual change, where Sky City intends to build a larger hotel, and according to reports expects the taxpayer to at least partially pay for the extra cost.

In the news this evening it would seem that as of the present the government has not dismissed this extra funding.

Surely, when the servants of we voters enter into taxpayer funding, which was probably not welcomed by a majority of the public in the first case, and then the other party wishes to alter the original agreement, we should expect that taxpayer support would not be offered without a binding referendum or a commission into the whole shonky deal.
