Footpath angels

I have a nasty form of shingles which has severely affected my left lower side, particularly the left knee, and yesterday, Monday at 10am, while walking ever so slowly along Matthews' Ave, I went down like a pole-axed steer.

My first thoughts were, what in hell do I do now? And at that moment I became vaguely aware of at least one car pulling over. The next moment there were two angels showing great concern for my well-being and assisting me to sit up and made sure I was OK.

These ladies were fantastic. They got me on to my unsteady feet and gathered up my scattered shopping, and one of the dear ladies insisted and took my elbow and helped me to my destination further along the street.

I wish I could thank them personally, but as I have no idea who they were I would like to take this opportunity via your paper to say their act of kindness has left me with a sincere sense of admiration for them.

Thank you Ladies.

PS: I have since learned these two angels were Rachel Baucke and Cheryl Johnson. A big hug to both of you.
