Give us a break

The news is out, our very own surf break on the web and Facebook, all because of that camera. We could well end up like Raglan or Piha, Mt Maunganui, or even Waimea Bay. We have so much money in Ahipara we don't need strangers spending their money here bro.

It gets worse, AA Traveller are going to have a big publicity campaign on golf courses in the North, and our very own golf course features. That will mean having to wait on the tee for a start and even having to book a tee time. Whatever next? Too many people taking our fish and prizes in the fishing competitions - we have to stop that too.

The best way would be to get the local thugs and bashers to set up a road block at Sandhills Road. Confiscate cameras, phones, especially video-capable, golf clubs, surfboards of visitors, fishing rods and of course buckets and spades - heaven knows what kids do in our sand.

Just to let you know how urgent this is the other day bro I saw one of our own stood up by a visitor with a big board and a paddle. Whatever next? He might want to stay a night or two here, and we couldn't have that now, could we?
