The new pony club season is about to kick off with the annual Kaitaia Pony Club Bush Gymkhana.
It is a day for the whole family with events for riders of all abilities, and ages - a crazy, fun filled day will feature everything from chocolate fish races to barrel racing and show hunter jumping.
This event is designed to get the season started in a low-key, enjoyable way and in past seasons the Bush Gykhana has proved to be a very popular day.
The event is scheduled to start at 9.30am on Sunday October 6 at a new venue, 500m down Ohuru Road in Taipa.
The venue will be signposted from the main road on the day.
