Two young Far North netballers were in the heart of the action at Sunday's ANZ Premiership match in Auckland, when they stood side by side with Magic captain Casey Kopua and Steel captain Wendy Frew in front of a stadium full of fans.
Kahurangi Raharuhi, 11, and Kerikeri netballer, Alyssa Stevenson, 14, won the opportunity to meet the team captains and high-five each of the players as they were called onto centre court at the start of the match, through the ANZ Future Captains competition.
Kahurangi admitted she was nervous before the game but very excited at getting up close to her heroes and watch them play.
"My favourite part was high-fiving the players.
"I thought the netballers were really good at working as a team."
