The men's title was taken out in a nail-biting style by Dennis Breckon, Bryon Corfield, Alan Larken and Murray Pope who eventually overwhelmed Ross Hulme, Dennis Lattimer, Ken Smith and Malcolm Maclean by a close fought scoreline of 14-13.

After eight ends Ross was up 12-4, but Dennis and his team slowly clawed their way back, with the score being 12-all after 13 ends. Dennis then scored a 2 on the 14th end and Ross a 1 on the last end.
