Myjanne Jensen is a reporter based in the Far North. She loves hearing the stories of people from all walks of life and feels it is a privilege to be able to share their experiences with the world.
Born in Australia (of Māori-Danish descent) Myjanne have more than 15 years of media experience spanning across print, radio, video and digital, as well as experience in public relations and corporate communications. Her deep-held curiosity about human behaviour is ultimately at the core of why she became a journalist. Myjanne absolutely lovea hearing the stories of people from all walks of life and feels it is a privilege to be able to share their experiences with the world. She see creating awareness about various issues is her way of giving back and serving the community. Myjanne also has a knack for making people feel at ease and safe to be vulnerable and share with her sometimes the most intimate details of their lives. With that privilege comes a huge amount of responsibility and she takes great care to tell their stories with sensitivity and respect. Myjanne loves exploring quirky and "taboo" topics and is inspired by journalists such as the BBC's Louis Theroux who push the boundaries of storytelling.
