Brodie Stone is a multimedia journalist who has been working at the Northern Advocate in Whangārei since 2022 as education and general news reporter. She has covered an array of stories during her time at the Advocate including social issues, policy, breaking news and health. Brodie’s education coverage focuses on amplifying the voices of students, teachers, parents and schools. She completed a Bachelor of Communications majoring in journalism and minoring in media studies at Massey University in 2022, and was the top student in her advanced news reporting paper.
