Whangarei local and former North Force striker Hannah Wilkinson has been named in the 19-strong Football Ferns squad to play the Oceania Football Confederation qualifiers in Auckland later this year.
New Zealand, Vanuatu, Cook Islands and Tahiti make up Group A, while Papua New Guinea, Fiji, Solomon Islands and Tonga complete Group B.
Win the qualifying series, and the Football Ferns will be playing in Germany at the Women's Football World Cup.
The announcement continued a meteoric rise for Wilkinson, who only last month scored her first age-group goal for New Zealand against Sweden in their opening match of the Fifa Under 20 Women's World Cup, which was played in Germany.
Wilkinson will be looking to add to her six full international caps, the last of which was at the Cyprus Cup where the Football Ferns made the final of the four-team tournament.
