Whangarei lads picked

Whangarei Boys' High School 1st XV  members Ben Berridge (hooker) and Jake Heenan (loose forward) were selected in the 23-man Blues secondary schools rugby squad to contest the Regional Secondary Schools Competition next Tuesday and Thursday at Saint Pauls College in Hamilton.
The boys are both members of the School of Emerging Talent in Whangarei and part of the Northland Rugby Union High Performance Development Squad.
The Blues squad go into camp at Saint Kentigern College in Auckland from today  until Saturday, before re-assembling in Hamilton on Monday ahead of their game against the Chiefs secondary schools team on Tuesday.
The Hurricanes team will play the South Island team on Tuesday with the winners of both games playing off in a final on Thursday and the losers playing off for third and fourth.

The New Zealand Secondary Schools squad will be selected from the regional tournament.
