Whangarei Girls' High School centre Sian Telfer feeds the ball into the circle during the annual ASB Senior Netball Championships final against Kerikeri High School.
It was a closely contested and low-scoring final between the two secondary schools, but Whangarei had the edge, winning 24-18 and taking out the championship, after defeating Kamo High School 30-11 in the quarter final, and Kaitaia College 28-10 in the semis. Kerikeri were runners-up ahead of Bream Bay College in third place, and Kaitaia College in fourth.
Eleven Northland schools took part in Wednesday's championships.
