Northland Taniwha fans will get a chance to see how their team is developing up close and personal tomorrow at Kensington Park.
The Taniwha will play the Northland Development side in their final hit-out before next Friday's first warm-up match against North Harbour at Warkworth.
Coach Adriaan Ferris said thematch would allow players competing for Northland starting positions to measure up in match conditions.
"There will be players in the B team that will want to prove their worth and maybe push their case for selection, so it's an exciting opportunity for all of the players," Ferris said.
"We're still finalising the starting line-up and it's all about creating competition for those spots in the pre-season games."
It will also be a chance to see recent Taniwha signing Dan Caprice in action.
The England sevens star has been in Northland, training with the squad for two weeks now, but tomorrow will be his first chance to shine in match conditions.
Another player of interest is Wainuiomata inside back Marvin Karawana, who is making a late bid for inclusion in the Taniwha squad.
