Kamo's Kane Turketo made sure he was outright winner in the final round of the Junior Black Knight series played at the Whangarei Squash Club recently.
Clinical play by Turketo throughout the junior squash series ensured his top place in the competition.
Runner-up was a tighter affair. It came down to the final game between Turketo's Kamo teammate Rikajn Stuart and Whangarei's Sam Dykzeul. Rikajn won 3-2 in the tightest of matches to take second place.
More than 100 juniors took part in the series which is played across Northland, in squash clubs from Wellsford to Kaitaia.
Eight-year-old Zoe Dykzeul was the highest-placed girl securing fourth overall.
