POWERLIFTING

Classic Cup Competition

Results from Bureta Park Motor Inn in Tauranga, November 3

A small Northland team performed well at the Classic Cup Powerlifting Competition in Tauranga last weekend. Thirty-one lifters from throughout the North Island competed in the event, which did not allow the use of supportive equipment normally permitted in powerlifting competitions.

The Northland team came away with 16 Northland records and six New Zealand records, as well as each placing first in their class.
