The defending champions from last year's Sport Northland Run/Walk Series look set to continue their dominance this weekend at the Newman Engineering Baylys 2 Dargaville Run/Walk event.
Whangarei's Harry Linford and Carolyn Younger are the two clear leaders in this year's Sport Northland Run/Walk Series having won every event this year in their respective categories.
Linford and Younger, who were the winners of last year's series, will already be hard to beat in the 2013 series after only three of the seven events.
On Sunday, walkers and runners will have the option of the 12km route from Baylys Beach starting at 9.30am, or the 6.8km route which will start at Rick's Paint Shop on Baylys Coast Road at 9am.
Free buses will leave from Logan Street beside Memorial Park to deliver participants to their start lines from 8am.
