Three late tries helped the Australian Police win 33-31, a result that looked unlikely when Northland Police held a 31-12 lead with 12 minutes remaining.
The match was the last of a three-match tour for the Australian team.
They had previously lost to Bay of Plenty Police and the New Zealand Police teams.
