"I guess on paper Splitfire, Thorny Chick and Katya Grace are perhaps our strongest chances," she said.
"Splitfire is going great guns at the moment and has the draw to get the run of the race. Thorny Chick is very promising. She will eventually be looking for more ground being out of a Zabeel mare and I'm just hoping we can get through Saturday. Katya Grace had to cover extra ground last time and was only beaten in a blanket finish."
In race four, the Caltex Fuelzone Whangarei Cup, the Logan's have two good chances in Jungle Juice and Al Askan.
"I find it hard to split these two," Logan said. "Jungle Juice was unlucky at the last meeting as she got got shuffled out of a good spot at a vital stage but hit the line strongly. She should get the run of the race from her inside draw. Al Askan had to carry 59kg and came home in a very quick sectional when winning at the last meeting. He drops to a luxurious 54kg here and will be very competitive.
Uncle Shayne is the Logan's representative in race six the Scene Magazine - It's All About Whangarei 2100, with stablemate Centara on the ballot and needing scratchings to gain a start.
" Uncle Shayne as a big weight which won't be easy but will relish the step up to 2100 metres. Centara has the blinkers on here and should appreciate the better track conditions."
The other feature event of the day is race five, the Cecconi 2yo Challenge, and although the Logan's have no runners, Northland is well represented by the Kenny and Lisa Rae trained Finntorro.
