Last weekend, the lights between the two turfs were erected, a week after Hockey Northland hoped they would be completed.
The poles were the final piece to the puzzle before work could continue on the installation of the tiger turf and an underground water tank.
Hockey Northland chief executive officer Grant McLeod told the Advocate that now the large crane had been in to install the lights, work on the asphalting could be completed. He added that the turf's new completion date was the end of February.
