Paxti enjoying Gold Coast waves

Matapouri's Paxti Scott Arrieta, 15, advanced through his first round heat of the 2010 Billabong Occy's Grom Comp at Duranbah Beach on the Gold Coast, Australia. Arrieta scored a combined two-wave total of 9.60 on Sunday - out of a possible 20 - to progress into the second round of the 16 and under boys division behind local  lad Mitchell Parkinson, who scored 12.83. "I did enough to get through
in second place ... the heat was really close towards the end," said Arrieta. "I'm just stoked to surf in round two and to keep enjoying the Gold Coast's waves," he said.
