Wellsford have got a feeling this season will be a good one.
Things have not gone to plan over the past two Southern Districts club rugby seasons for the 2009 premiers, but 2012 has started with a bang.
Wellsford made it four wins from four games following their 17-28 win over a well-recruited Whangarei Old Boys side on Thursday night, and they are now nipping at the heels of early table leaders Marist.
In next week's fifth round, Wellsford meet Marist who are shaping up to be the team to beat this season, following their 45-12 win over Otamatea on Thursday - which was also their fourth win in four clashes.
Hikurangi fell to Mid Northern 11-18, while Mid Western suffered their second consecutive loss against Kamo. Kamo nabbed their first win of the season beating their hosts 10-14, and Hora Hora had a 10-24 win over Western Sharks at Dargaville.
