Coach Scott Burgess is expecting North Force to give as good as it gets when Northern Premier League side Onehunga Sports visit Tikipunga this weekend for their first pre-season match.
Onehunga Sports finished mid-table last season but with former All White Brian Turner at the helm they are sure to bring a well-prepared squad for the game.
Burgess wants his squad to treat the match as their first test of the season.
"Even though it is a pre-season game, it's our first big home game of the season so we'd still like to win it," he said.
He said players like Steve Schimmel and the Lacour brothers Cody and Charlton had impressed in their early season training and he was hoping that 2010 reserve player Daniel Ridgely, could add to his impressive pre-season form.
The reserves don't play on Saturday so some will get to show what they can do against the premier side.
"It's going to be a mixture of squads out there, we'll be starting with a side closer to the first team and then rotate everybody so they all get good game time," Burgess said.
Kick-off is at 1pm at Tikipunga.
