A third-quarter blitz sealed a 4-1 win for Old Girls over Springfield in their premier women's hockey match.
Old Girls started the game strongly and went one up early when Gabrielle Smith converted a chance which started from a counter-attack.
The Friday night match was closer than the final score would suggest with most of the game played in the midfield.
Both teams knew they couldn't allow the other to dictate play so there were plenty of turnovers as they turned up the pressure in midfield.
