Both matches were won convincingly in the second week of Whangarei Netball centre's premier reserve grade netball finals with Wahine Toa 3 earning the right to play Takahiwai in next week's final.
In the second and third-ranked game, Wahine Toa 3 were comfortable winners over their number-two team 55-36.
For Wahine Toa 3, there was some outstanding defensive work by sisters Harona Te Iringa at goal keep and Leah Te Iringa at goal defence. The mid court players all controlled the play. Barbara Te Whare at goal shoot and Telitha Everitt at goal attack worked tirelessly and positioned well to gain the advantage.
For Wahine Toa 2, Moana Witehira and Harmony Kingi in defence were put to work but did manage to pressure the shooters. Sisters Tamea and Sharleece Ross Hill in the shooting circle had some nice phases of play but the defence were able to pick up a number of intercepts, tips and rebounds.
Educare North Fideliter 2 had a good win over Craig's Firestone Marist 1 56-39 in the fourth and fifth playoff. Fideliter 2 dominated the first quarter and then won all the other quarters except the final one.
