Takahiwai 1 provided the biggest score of the fourth week of the championship round in Whangarei premier reserve netball, beating Craig's Firestone Marist 52-36.

For Takahiwai 1, Hannah Edge and Anne Marie Lambly had a great defensive game. All the mid courters including Teri Tito, Adelaide Campbell and Morgana Nathan provided good work on attack. In the shooting circle, Kyla Chapman and Muritera Apiata also had a strong game, positioning and shooting well.

Marist finished well with a strong final quarter as Anne Maree Beazley at goal defence paired up with Francis Coutts at goal keep to get turnover ball and rebounds late in the game.

All the midcourters provided a controlled game in the wet conditions keeping the passes short. Rebecca Simper, who normally plays defence, started at goal shoot and had a confident start and received great support from Jaimee Dunn at goal attack.

Wahine Toa 2 had another win, beating the younger Pizza Barn BBC Waipu team 48-34. For Wahine Toa 2, Tegs Wharewaka combined with Jade Wheoki in defence and they provided some excellent intercepts and rebounds.
