Wet weather didn't stop Manawanui White from showing their class as they put on a top-class aerial and athletic display against Active Refrigeration Fideliter 3.

Manawanui were comprehensive in their premier reserve netball clash as they led from start to finish, as they romped home 66-18.

For Manawanui on Saturday, Grace Cooper, playing at goal shoot and goal attack, shot and rebounded well as she showed good positional play, shouldering the bulk of the shooting load. She was ably supported by Jaelyn Walker at goal shoot later in the game.

Samantha Davis Cooper at wing defence provided some gutsy, tight defensive work and she combined well with the dynamic Cherith Schragg at goal defence.

Schragg anticipated the pass and hunted the ball through the court while putting plenty of pressure on the shooters. For Fideliter, it was a new shooting combination and it was a difficult task for them.

Louise Morgan, mainly at goal attack, played a consistent game and kept a steady head. In defence, Kelly Stevens and Kayla Gentil worked hard throughout but the team were not able to capitalise on the extra ball when they did get it.

In other premier reserve clashes, Craig's Firestone Marist had another strong game as they won against Webb Glass/Fresh Café Onerahi 2 42-29.

The game was mainly won in the first half with Marist up by 11 goals at halftime. The second half was a lot closer with Marist only increasing their lead by two goals.

For Marist, Germaine Gibson at goal keep and Lucinda McBeth at goal defence provided tight defence throughout.

Te Aroha Palmer, at centre, controlled the flow of the ball through the court and provided some good feeds to the shooters. Tegan Musgrove was at goal attack most of the game and then at goal shoot. She provided options for the feeders and put in some long-range shots.

For Onerahi 2, the mid-court combination of sisters Tracee Valli at centre and Leah at wing attack worked well. They combined excellently with Casey Williamson at wing defence, who picked up a number of tips and intercepts.

In the inter-club clash of Wahine Toa 1 and Wahine Toa 2, team 1 were the predictable winners by 42-31 in a game with good sportsmanship between the teams.

Wahine Toa 1 had a strong first half and were up by 10 goals at halftime but similar to the other premier reserve game, in the second half they only added one goal to this lead before the final whistle.

For Wahine Toa 1, Rita and Renee Himonia in defence were strong with shooters Gladys Himonia and Maria Dick also proving influential.

Clarissa Moir, at centre, was outstanding and Lisa Godsalls at wing defence, playing up from the Wahine Toa 4, had a good game.

For Wahine Toa 2, Pare Kingi had a good defensive game getting some good intercepts and tips.

Kingi paired up well with Barbara Te Whare when she came on in the second half at goal keep.

Sister Merii Kingi playing up from team 3 and had a great game at goal shoot and goal attack, providing a high work rate and some good shooting.
